Jonathan Oldengarm

Jonathan Oldengarm has been hailed for his "unalloyed musicality and stylish imagination." Since winning prizes at the Calgary, Dublin, and Royal Canadian College of Organists (RCCO) National Competitions, he has performed regularly in North America, Asia and Europe. He holds a doctorate in organ performance from McGill University, the Fellowship diploma of the RCCO, and studied at the Hochschule für Musik in Stuttgart, Germany from 2003-2005.

Recent performances include the 2007 CBC Radio Sing-In; Assumption College, Worcester, MA; St. Thomas Church, New York City; the Winnipeg Symphony; the Crystal Cathedral's Hour of Power; Notre Dame Basilica, Montreal; the Marienkirche, Rachtig, Germany; and the Matsuzakaya Department Store, Nagoya, Japan.

Upcoming appearances include the Organix08 festival in Toronto; the 2008 RCCO National Convention; the Organ Intermezzi series at the Church of St. Andrew and St. Paul; La Grande Séminaire de Montréal; l'Église des Saints-Anges-Gardiens in Lachine; and a 2009 concert tour of Germany and the Netherlands. In 2008-2009 Jonathan Oldengarm is a Traveling Clinician for the RCCO.

From 2005-2007 Jonathan Oldengarm taught organ, harpsichord and continuo at the Schulich School of Music at McGill University. He is currently Assistant Director of Music at the Church of St. Andrew and St. Paul, Montreal. For more information, visit www.oldengarm.com.
