Peter Bishop
Born in Victoria, British Columbia, Peter Bishop came to Toronto in 1976 as a graduate fellow of the University of Toronto’s Massey College. In 1979, he was appointed Director of Music and Organist at the Toronto Oratory, Church of the Holy Family. In addition to directing the church’s four choirs in over two hundred sung services each year, he is Instructor in Music and Liturgy at St. Philip’s Seminary, which is under the direction of the Fathers of the Oratory.
He has been a board member, Secretary and President of the Toronto Centre of the Royal Canadian College of Organists, and is currently a member of the Board of Directors and National Secretary of the College.
