Eugenio Fagiani

He studied with Enzo Corti in Milan and got an Organ and a Composition Diploma at the "Luca Marenzio" Conservatorium in Brescia. He also graduated in Musicology at the SPFM in Cremona-Pavia University with a graduation thesis on "Marcel Duprè and the art of improvisation". He took part to several specialization courses in interpretation with Nigel Allcoat, Ewald Kooiman, Piet Kee, Daniel Roth, Gillian Weir and Naji Hakim. Later on he specialized in the art of improvisation with: Nigel Allcoat, Jurgen Essl, Peter Planyavsky e Naji Hakim. He also went thoroughly into the study of Music Analysis with Marcel Bitsch.

He regularly performs in Europe, the United States and Canada on some of the most important instruments (including: the Temple Church, Southwark Cathedral and St. Paul's Cathedral in London; Kaiser-Wilhelm-Gedächtnis Kirche in Berlin; Basilica of the National Shrine of Immaculate Conception in Washington D.C.; St. Thomas (Episcopal) Church, St. Patrick's Cathedral and St. Bartholomew’s Church in New York City; Hill Auditorium, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor; St. Clement’s Church, the Rathgeb Memorial Organ at Deer Park United Church and the St. James Anglican Cathedral in Toronto; the Domkirche, Eisenstadt; the Brucknerorgel of the Skt. Florian Stiftsbasilika in Skt. Florian, Linz; the Shrine of La Verna; S. Vitale’s Basilica in Ravenna; Duomo, Messina).

He is the lecturer of the annual Improvisation courses supported by the International Organ Festival “Città di Bergamo”. He is also invited to give lectures for several Institutes (EU, US and CAN).

He is Director of Music and Organist of the historic organ "Locatelli" (1899), in the Saint Michael the Archangel's Church in Mapello, Bergamo. In 2008 he was named Guest Organist of the Franciscan Shrine of La Verna, Arezzo.

As a composer his works comprehend pieces for organ, chamber groups and orchestra. Published by Carrara, Turris and Delatour France, they are in the repertoire of artists like Stephen Tharp, Carol Williams, Robert Kovacs, Johannes Geffert and Massimo Nosetti. He is also the author of a renown series of organ transcriptions.

He records with the German label Spektral Records.
