Jan Owens

Trombonist Janice Owens began her career as a member of the Monumental Brass Quintet in Washington DC, performing for the Columbia Artists Community Concerts series in 48 of the 50 United States. She built a thriving brass chamber music program at the Levine School of Music, where she also served as Wind Department Chair. Janice also taught low brass at the Peabody Conservatory (Preparatory Division) in Baltimore, Maryland. Since moving to Toronto, she has performed with the Canadian Opera Company, National Ballet of Canada, Hamilton Philharmonic, Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony, and in the orchestras for several musical theatre productions in Stratford and Toronto.
