David Alexander Simon - Organ

David Simon (b. 1993, Toronto) is the principal organist at St. Mark’s Catholic Church in Etobicoke. He is also an organist at St. Michael’s Catholic Cathedral. David began his organ studies at the age of 12 while attending St. Michael’s Choir School. His first teacher was Mr. John Kekely and now studies with Dr. Patricia Wright. He is an undergrad student at the University of Toronto in the Faculty of Music organ performance program.

David Simon has recently completed a recording of Baroque and Contemporary organ music for Glionna Mansell Corporation on the Allen Renaissance Quantum Q265D organ that is resident at St. Mark’s. David has performed with and accompanied the choirs of St. Michael’s Choir School in performance at Massey Hall and on tour and during Masses. David has completed his ARCT (Associate) in Organ Performance from the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto.
