Joshua Duncan Lee

Joshua Duncan M. Lee is the Wayne C. Vance Organ Scholar at Metropolitan United Church, where they are studying with Dr. Patricia Wright. They are thrilled to be playing at All Saints Kingsway. This is a special place for them as this was the first venue they played the organ in public before their own baptism in December 2016.

Joshua began studying the organ in October 2016 with Ian Sadler at The Cathedral Church of St. James. While traveling with the Cathedral Singers of Ontario, they played at Mandeville Parish Church, Kingston Parish Church, and The Cathedral of the Most Holy Trinity in Jamaica in January 2020; at St. Patrick’s Cathedral in Dublin, Ireland in July 2019; and at Chichester and Winchester Cathedrals in the U.K. in December 2017.

Joshua has a Certificate in Service Playing from the Royal Canadian College of Organists, and is working towards becoming a Colleague of the RCCO. They are also working towards their ARCT for Piano through the Royal Conservatory of Music.

From the RCM, Joshua was awarded the 2019 Gold Medal for Grade 7 Viola, the 2018 Wayne C. Vance Scholarship for organ, and the 2017 Gold Medal for Grade 7 Organ. From the RCCO, they received the 2016 Barwell Piano Student Scholarship.
