Áron Dóbisz and Bence Janos Samodai

Áron Dóbisz

Áron Dóbisz was born in Ózd, Hungary. He graduated as an organ artist and teacher at the Faculty of Music of the University of Szeged in 2007. In 2011, he graduated as a piano teacher at the same university. In 2006 he studied in Italy on an Erasmus scholarship. Mr. Dóbisz has won prizes in many significant Hungarian and European organ competitions, including his being the grand prize winner of the 2006 Szeged Organ Competition. Áron has also given concerts in many countries in Europe.

The 20th century’s Hungarian organ music is a significant place in his repertoire and has also formed an artistic collaboration with Bence János Samodai in an organ-trumpet duo. Their first music album were released on Spotify two years ago featuring baroque masterpieces.

Bence Janos Samodai (Trumpet)

Bence János Samodai began his studies in 2003 at the Laszlo Fekete School of Arts in Tiszafured, Hungary. From 2010 to 2014 he attended Leo Weiner Music High School. His undergraduate studies was held at the University of Szeged and earned his degree (2014-2017) and thereafter continued his career in education as a trumpet teacher. He applied for the Erasmus-scholarship and subsequently continued his studies at Conservatorio di musica "Claudio Monteverdi" Musikkonservatorium in Bolzano, Italy, (2016-2017).

Additionally, Bence has won first prizes in many International competitions and has completed courses with Friedrich Reinhold, Laurent Tinguely, Jeroen Berwaerts and Gabor Boldoczki and is currently visiting Lecturer at the University of Szeged Music Faculty, and a Trumpet Teacher at the Vántus István Music Conservatory in Szeged.
