French Boys Choir

Our Lady of Sorrows and ORGANIX present the French Boys Choir, "Maîtrise des Hauts de France." The choir is comprised of 22 boys and young men from schools in the vicinity of Lille in Northern France. The troupe was founded in 1972 and is under the direction of Jérôme Cupelli.

This is a phenomenal opportunity to hear these acclaimed voices as they visit Toronto this July. For 30 years the choir has made annual tours abroad, traveling to 35 different countries in Europe, the US, Canada and in the future Australia and Japan. In the past, they have been invited to perform at highly esteemed venues such as the White House, St. Peter’s Basilica, and the Church of St. Louis des Invalides in Paris.

When the children are not on tour, they participate in music festivals all over Europe, maintain an active recording schedule, and make regular appearances on television and radio broadcasts. The group frequently participates in exchange programs with other revered boys choirs, including the Vienna Boys’ Choir, the Stockholm’s Gosskör, the Poznan’s Rossignols and the world famous Detska Kita choir in Plovdiv.
