Matthew Whitfield

Considered ‘one of Canada’s most gifted musicians’ (Saugeen Times), Matthew is a Toronto-based keyboardist and writer who presents outside-the-box concerts and performance-based art. An advocate of Contemporary and New Music, he frequently performs avant-garde repertoire from the 20th and 21st Centuries, including works by Ligeti, Cage, and Glass.

In addition to his work as a musician, Matthew is a columnist for WholeNote Magazine and a freelance writer and poet.
